WORKING WETLANDS

Overview of Project

This USDA-NRCS project partners with O’ahu RC&D and agricultural operations on Oahu to enhance wetland management, sustain indigenous cropping systems and provide critical habitat for endangered Hawaiian waterbirds.

The project will provide funding and planning to practitioners and operations that are using Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK)to restore wetland health and productivity and improve soil health on upland areas adjacent to wetlands.

Producers interested in this opportunity are encouraged to fill out our client intake form.
