Dave Dutra Elliott provides overall leadership and strategic direction for Agriculture Stewardship Hawaiʻi, guiding the organization’s work to align capital, policy, and technical support with Hawaiʻi’s on-the-ground agricultural realities. Dave has 20+ years of experience in agricultural development and natural resource management in Hawaiʻi and Latin America as a social entrepreneur, researcher, and nonprofit executive. He is committed to reducing the disproportionate risks farmers and ranchers carry as stewards, and to building the coordinated systems — across producers, agencies, and funders — through which shared responsibility for Hawaiʻi’s working lands and food systems can be realized across generations.

Amanda Shaw, PhD

Dr. Shaw leads efforts to develop and foster food systems partnerships across the State. She has a MSc in Gender, Development, and Globalization and PhD in Gender Studies (London School of Economics and Political Science). Raised in Hunānāniho, Waimānalo, she has 19 years of experience in economic development and social equity in international development, trade, and agriculture. Prior to joining Ag Stew, she was Executive Director of Oʻahu Agriculture and Conservation Association (OACA), which merged with Ag Stew in 2024.

Jackson Hart oversees Ag Stew’s grant portfolio and supports the implementation of projects. He holds a BA in Community Studies (UC Santa Cruz) and MPS in Global Development (Cornell). Jackson has 11 years of experience in community development, specializing in designing and managing participatory agricultural development initiatives in the US and internationally. Jackson is passionate about improving support services for small-scale farmers, and developing inclusive and climate-resilient agri-food systems. Prior to joining ORCD, Jackson was the Agriculture Project Manager for Pacific Gateway Center.

Harmony Shelton provides administrative and clerical support, covering Harmony is born and raised on the island Oʻahu. She has an extensive background in banking and customer service. As the Office Administrator, she provides administrative and clerical support to Oʻahu RC&D’s diverse programs. She looks forward to providing assistance to fellow staff members along with learning more about agriculture and conservation here on the islands.

Healthy Agroecosystems Program Manager
Sophie leads the all Healthy Agroecosystems project portfolio. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Management and Protection and a M.S. in Environmental Science and Management (Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo). Sophie brings a wealth of experience in conservation planning and managing state and federal agricultural conservation and watershed quality improvement projects in Hawaiʻi. She is passionate about advocacy for diversified agriculture, engaging communities in sustainable, long-term change, and conducting research to inform new agriculture protocols and mitigate environmental damage.

Climate Smart Specialist
Becca provides conservation planning and funding assistance programs access assistance to Oahu producers through a partnership between Ag Stew and NRCS. Becca holds a B.S. in Environmental Science: Climate and Energy with a minor in Scientific Diving (CalPoly Humboldt). Throughout her life she has worked on restoration projects in both the land and sea, focusing on climate change adaptation. Becca strives to be an impactful and inclusive environmental steward of the ʻāina.

Rachel Fukumoto provides free grant writing and grant readiness services to farmers, ranchers, and agricultural organizations across the state. Born and raised in Mililani and Kapahulu on Oʻahu, she holds a B.S. in Environmental Science (Creighton University), an M.S. in Natural Resource and Environmental Management (UH Mānoa), is a graduate of GoFarm Hawaiʻi AgIncubator and the Agricultural Leadership Program (ALFH). Rachel’s background includes work in conservation, energy efficiency, and entrepreneurship. Rachel is passionate about supporting local producers and building resilient communities.

Farm Economic Development Specialist
Bri Littlefield provides free grant writing and grant readiness services to farmers, ranchers, and agricultural organizations across the state. She is an established nonprofit development specialist, with more than a decade of expertise in the field. Prior to Ag Stew, Bri served as Director of Philanthropy and Fund Development Manager at Honolulu Habitat for Humanity, and as the Development Specialist for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Honolulu.

Kaliko High oversees our Farmer Help Desk and client intake services, ensuring that our producers/ needs are understood and referring them to Ag Stew programs and partners. She also helps coordinate Health Agroecosystems projects. Born and raised in Mānoa, she holds a BS in Meteorology and a BA in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (UH Mānoa). Kaliko brings a decade of experience in creating community programs around protecting Hawaiʻi’s environment and natural resources, and working with local farmers to improve market access. She also owns a native plant nursery out of ʻŌlaʻa.

Andreanna Kaluhiokalani leads all outreach efforts, informing farmers and ranchers of Ag Stew programs, services, and funding opportunities. Raised in Makakilo, she holds a BA in Sustainable Community Food Systems and Political Science (University of Hawaiʻi – West Oʻahu). She is a seasoned farmer and passionate advocate of Aloha and Malama Aina. She is eager to help farmers and ranchers throughout the state access funding and educational resources.

Augusto Decastro provides website, photography, and videography support. He holds a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo). He is also the Agriculture and Sustainability Programs Coordinator for ʻIolani School, helping students understand the value of growing your own food and diverting food waste from the landfill through in-school composting systems.
